World Alzheimer’s Month

Alois Alzheimer, a German psychiatrist, discovered the first instance of this diagnosis, which later became known as “Alzheimer’s.” Despite being the most prevalent kind of dementia, scientists and experts feel it is not a natural aspect of aging.

Although the solution and the underlying causes of this condition remain undiscovered, there are a few steps we may take to reduce the risk of this disease. Exercise, quitting smoking, and lowering blood pressure are all excellent practices that we should work to include into our everyday lives!

Alzheimer’s disease affects about 6% of those over 65, and this percentage will only rise. As we observe World Alzheimer’s Month, let’s express our support for those who have been diagnosed with the condition and work to raise awareness.
