Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental illnesses are among the most common health conditions in the United States and around the world. Around one in five American adults experience some form of mental illness.

Even the most serious mental health conditions can be treated, however, allowing people to better contribute to their families and communities

During this month we raise awareness on talking about mental illness to help break the stigma associated with mental health disorders such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder. Let’s use this time to focus and encourage individuals and their families to talk and heal by connecting in safe ways, prioritizing mental health and acknowledging that it’s okay to not be okay.

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” – Glenn Close.
